American Media, the company which owns popular Country music magazine "Country Weekly" is facing troubles that could end in bankruptcy.
Music Row magazine reports American Media, which also owns US supermarket tabloids the National Enquirer and the Star, could be forced into bankruptcy as early as February of 2009. The problems arise from a credit crunch that may render the company incapable of continuing operations. The company's CEO is attempting to restructure financing to avoid a calamity befalling its publications.
