Dixie Chicks pulled out of war movie

The New York Post reports that a song scheduled to be featured in the indie film 'The Lucky Ones' was pulled from the production because Lionsgate, the film's distributor, refused to put up the cash required to secure the rights to the song. Sources told the Post the Chicks were requesting a "low six-figure number."

The trio reportedly wrote the song after seeing a rough cut of 'The Lucky Ones,' which stars Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins and Michael Pena as war veterans returning home from Iraq.

The song is still expected to appear on a future Dixie Chicks album.
