Clear Blue 22, “Happy” – Their album is a feast of top notch music, and this new single is one of the stand-outs of the collection. Think Trick Pony only with stronger material and you’ve got a good idea of what the Clear Blues have in store for you. It’s our Hitbound Sound for the week and we think you’ll like it as much as we do!
Alan Jackson, “Country Boy” – Luke Bryan has already staked his claim as the “Country Man”, but Alan is proud to be a Country Boy. It’s a solid up-tempo effort and will no doubt conquer the charts as AJ usually does.
Stephen Cochran, “Thinkin’ I’m Drinkin” – Stephen is a former US Marine who’s been in the line of fire in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s had two previous visits to the VoC Hitlist with “Friday Night Fireside” and “Everything We Knew”. This latest single from his self-titled album is two and one half minutes of rowdy, sing-along drinkin’ music. Need we say more?
Ricochet, “I Had to Be Me” – These guys hit the Number One spot in the summer of ’96 with “Daddy’s Money” and had a Top 3 hit that same year with “What Do I Know”. They’re back with an album called “Reloaded”, containing their earlier hits and a clutch of new songs. This first single shows the boys sound as contemporary as ever. It’s a polished and appealing mid-tempo track, with more good stuff from the new album to follow.
