A US media report claims Brooks & Dunn are splitting due to pressure from Ronnie Dunn's wife. According to a report in the National Enquirer, Janine Dunn wanted Ronnie to spend more time at home after averaging an annual six months on the road for many years.
The report also alleges that Janine felt Ronnie was a bigger star than Kix and should go solo to achieve his full potential. Kix was supposedly surprised by Ronnie's sudden decision to pull the plug on Brooks & Dunn and is described as feeling "betrayed".
