Jason Michael Carroll, a staple of the VoC airwaves for the last four years, has been dumped by Arista Nashville.
Using the common euphenism for getting the shove, Jason Michael released a statement saying he and the record company have "decided to part ways".
Jason Michael went on, "I'm glad to have had the opportunity to be there for the last four years. There are plans to go into the studio and record new music the second week of March. Nothing is over; just planning the next move."
The singer stunned the Country music world with his dramatic debut single, "Alyssa Lies" in 2006, followed by the hits "Livin' Our Love Song", "Where I'm From", and current single, "Hurry Home". Disappointing chart performances for the last two singles plus anemic album sales are thought to be behind the record company's decision to chop JM from the roster.
