While Billy Dean was touring the USA with the Kenny Rogers Christmas tour, things were heating up back at the Dean farm in Smithville, Tennessee. Billy's barn burned to the ground, taking with it his fishing boat, tractor, and career memorabilia.
The incinerated keepsakes included demo and master recordings, vintage posters and publicity material, and publicity photos dating back to Billy's early days before he signed a record deal.
"I lost a lot of things that were very meaningful to me, but no one was hurt and that's really all that matters at the end of the day," Billy said. "We'll rebuild, but I'm really going to miss that tractor and fishing boat this spring."
