In his wildest dreams, Craig Morgan never expected this to happen, especially so soon in his career.
But the singer was interrupted during a performance at Fort Bragg, North Carolina by Country legend John Conlee, who informed Craig he was invited to join Nashville's Grand Ole Opry.
"I lost it like I've never lost it before", Craig exclaims. "It's like being invited into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
Craig had a difficult start in his Country music career, when his initial singles didn't chart as high as hoped. Then his deal with Atlantic Records in Nashville went belly-up when the label was shuttered by parent company Warner Bros.
However, the singer's career was revived by feisty independent Broken Bow Records, who confounded the industry by taking Craig to the top of the charts with songs like "Almost Home", "That's What I Love About Sunday" and "Redneck Yacht Club".
Craig recently joined the roster of major label BNA Records, part of the RCA Label Group. He is currently climbing the Country listings with his debut single for the label, "Love Remembers".
His Opry induction is scheduled to take place October 25th.
