Alan Jackson is used to making Country music history. Now, he's making property value history in Nashville, with the sale of his mansion and grounds for $28 million.
The three-story colonial mansion features gilt ceilings, 17,000 square feet of living space, six bedrooms, 135 acres of grounds, and a twenty-car garage. Alan and wife Denise had the house built on a former horse farm in 1993. Located near Franklin, just south of Nashville and the VoC studios, the house and grounds were bought by Willis and Reba Johnson.
The house had been up for sale for nearly a year and was reduced by $10 million before it finally found a purchaser.
